Panama Wins Big at the AICA Coffee Competition
The Australian International Coffee Awards is the only international roasting competition in Australia, receiving more than 800 entries from over 180 exhibitors from around the world.
We are very proud to announce that King Carlos Coffee has picked up three medals for the 2020 AICA:
One silver medal and one bronze medal for our new Panama Single Origin; and one bronze medal for our signature blend: Re Firma.
Panama coffee beans are quite possibly the most sought-after coffee beans in the world. Our Panama coffee is grown in the Chirqui District; where the coffee plants thrive in conditions aproximately 500m above sea level. The few farms that do produce it have reported that the bushes yield only a small amount of beans, accounting for the extreme rarity of them.
Region: Chirqui District
Tasting notes: Smooth, well balanced dark chocolate tones with grapefruit sweetness.
Our knowledge in coffee roasting times and temperatures, density and moisture has been developed through years of experience - and we cup our coffee regularly to ensure coffee blends are consistent. This helps us continually source the best green coffee beans, and ensure we supply the best Panama coffee in Australia.
