Decaffeinated Coffee
I'll be honest with you, we don't drink a lot of decaf at King Carlos Coffee. But we sure want it to taste great for those that love decaf.
Most decaf has a decaf smell and a flat taste, however not this Colombian Sugar Cane decaf it's an amazing decaf. Umami-like aromatics, a bittersweet cocoa powder flavour tied up with brown sugar, dark caramel hints and toasted wheat berry.
Sugar Cane Processing is commonly referred to as natural decaffeinated, it starts fermenting molasses derived from sugar cane to create ethanol, the ethanol is the mixed with acetic acid by doing this, the caffeine held in each green bean is released, leaving very low levels of caffeine, which is 98% caffeine free.
