About Brazil Samba Reserve

natural processed Brazilian from Sul de Minas. Chocolate and hazelnut, round and smooth, with a subtle citrus lift.

Brazil Sul de Minas is a natural single origin from the mountains of southern Minas Gerais, the engine room of Brazilian coffee. The region produces around 30% of Brazil's entire coffee output, and it has earned that position on consistency and quality. This lot is processed the classic Brazilian way: whole cherries are cleaned, then dried in the sun on patios, letting the fruit sweetness settle into the bean. The result is what natural Brazils do best. Full body, chocolate and hazelnut sweetness, and a subtle citrus note that keeps it from sitting flat. Roasted weekly at our Hurstville roastery in Sydney. The definition of a crowd-pleaser, done properly.

Flavour notes

  • Milk chocolate and hazelnut through the body, round and smooth
  • Subtle citrus brightness that lifts the cup
  • Soft, sweet finish, clean and easy

Best for
Espresso and milk drinks first and foremost. The chocolate-hazelnut profile is exactly what a flat white wants, and the full body carries through milk without disappearing. Works well in plunger and batch brew for an easy-drinking black cup. The ideal daily driver, and a smart base if you're blending at home.

Tasting profile

  • Body: Full, round
  • Acidity: Low, subtle citrus
  • Sweetness: Milk chocolate, hazelnut
  • Roast level: Medium
